Ford GT40 was a Ford Motor Company car, created by orders from Henry Ford II to race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and destroy Ferrari's reign.

That's because Enzo Ferrari gave up the sale of his company to Ford at the last minute and then, for Henry Ford II it was a matter of honor to beat Ferrari in its domain.

And he did it with praise.

He was a four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, between 1966 and 1969. Not only that, because when he dethroned Ferrari's dominance, he was the first American company to win the race and, by the way, unbeaten, because he won all times you participated. The after his winning streak at Le Mans he was nicknamed "Ferraris killer"!

He raced in Brazil for the Carioca Championship of Motorsport. It was created in 1960 and in 1969 it stopped being produced
