Guinea-Bissau recorded between Thursday and Saturday another 25 new cases of infection by Covid-19 and saw the number of infected people increase to 1,790, said the coordinator of the Center for Emergency Health Operations on Monday.
Dionísio Cumba said that of the total accumulated cases, there are 760 considered recovered and 25 died.
Cape Verde, the second Portuguese-speaking country in Africa with the most cases, registered 12 more in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health, which indicates the total of 1,463 infected in the country.

The island of Santiago is the main focus of the disease in the country, with an accumulation of 1,116 cases, followed by Sal with 261.
The country has already registered 17 deaths.
Mozambique today exceeded 1,000 cases of the disease, according to data from the Ministry of Health.
In a statement, the Ministry revealed 25 more cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 1,012 infected.
The number of people recovered amounts to 277 and there are 2301 people quarantined.
Angola, with 353 cases and 19 deaths as of yesterday, and São Tome and Príncipe with 719 cases and 13 deaths, have not updated the data today.
